Welbilt treats visitors to a host of firsts at the HOST Milano exhibition

In mid October, Milan played host to one of the most anticipated events in the European culinary world – the HOST Milano exhibition.  The event brought together 180,000 industry leaders, chefs, and food professionals from all over the world. For our team, it was the perfect platform to share the new Welbilt brand line up and interact with colleagues who share our passion for elevating the art of cooking through technology. 

Welbilt exhibited as part of Ali Group and customers were able to experience the full force of the group’s impressive brand portfolio, including the new Welbilt brand Crystal Tips in the ice sector, Convotherm combi ovens, Merrychef high-speed ovens, as well as Delfield refrigeration and shock freezer solutions. 

Crystal Tips ice machines were showcased on the stand.  With state-of-the-art sanitisation, limescale reduction technology and innovative IceWorld app, Crystal Tips machines offer an advanced, energy-efficient, durable and versatile solution for a wide range of food sectors.

A Convotherm highlight was the live demonstration of ConvoSense, the patented AI-driven fully automatic cooking system.  The Convotherm maxx pro ConvoSense recognises products, automatically sets the cooking program and starts the cooking process without manual input. With over 1,000 units already in use internationally, ConvoSense is a technology that is already revolutionizing cooking by significantly increasing productivity and reducing food waste.

As the industry's first 16-inch square cooking space in an 18-inch wide oven, Merrychef ConneX high-speed ovens attracted a lot of interest on the stand. The energy-saving refrigeration solutions from Delfield also caught the eye of many visitors. 

We received incredible feedback and interest from businesses looking to enhance their kitchen efficiency and productivity. This year we were particularly delighted to host a group of 25 partners from Asia, and the Middle East who were also treated to factory tour and exclusive training at Convotherm in Germany. 

The Welbilt brand range focuses on creating a seamless workflow throughout the professional kitchen, offering industry-leading innovation and patented technology to create the kitchens of the future.
